Everywhere you go, there you are. - Austin Powers

When people ask me what we do, I often reply that “we support our community by supporting the organizations that support our community.” It sounds a little funny at first, but it really is one of the main reasons I started TECHsperience. Whether it’s providing critical services to those in need or contributing to our local economy, the non-profits and small businesses that we work with play pivotal roles throughout the Bay Area. I think all of us here take pride in our ability to leverage the best technology that’s out there and make it both practical and affordable so our clients can continue to do what they do.

The inner geek in me really loves the imaging technology that’s out there. When I’m working on my computer, there are times when I just want to be able install some cool software and try it out. I like being able to completely roll back to my previous setup if I don’t like the new application or it causes some kind of problem without it taking forever or totally disrupting my day. I guess I find the virtualization software appealing for similar reasons plus the potential for savings in terms of space, money, and energy consumption. On the less technical side, I really enjoy working with organizations around their use of data, including the systems they use to manage, collect, and report.

I took a look at the page you referred me to last night and it’s an amazing tool. Thank you immensely. Here’s a smiley face: :-) I made it just for you...

When I was young, I'd get a dollar for my allowance. With that dollar, I would walk to the 7-11 near my house and spend sixty cents on a comic book, thirty-five cents on a Charleston Chew, and a nickel on one of those bite-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. In 19 years, I have not matured one iota in my relationship to money. But I've read some seriously divine comic books. - Zay Amsbury

When Life Gives You Questions, Google has Answers - AJ Carpio

The comradery at TECHsperience is great, the breadth of responsibilities and technologies keeps work interesting.

My favorite technologies are those that cost little or nothing but are so useful every day, e.g., VPN, malwarebytes, ultravnc and other remote control software, VMware

...you rock... ...thanks Dr. Ed.

Censorship offends me.- Unknown

Why I like TECHsperience: The staff is friendly, has a good sense of humor, and they know how to get things done.

My favorite technology is definitely the smartphone. With internet access and computing power everywhere you go, it's not hard to see why. And for computing tasks out of reach for smartphones, it's easy enough to remote in to your desktop back home and take care of it that way.

I'm just glad that there is no such thing as altruism because it is far more beautiful to me that people actually feel rewarded by helping others. - Barry Tuttle, Friend

TECHsperience is a great place for learning and keeping up with the latest technologies. There is never a time when we are not communicating with each other and our clients to come up with the most effective, affordable and user friendly solutions. At the end of the day it’s great to know that I’ve aided someone in helping someone else.

My favorite technologies are those that get me out of ruts. Anything that can “undo” and bring something functional back to my fingertips is magic to me!

You’re the best intern we’ve ever had. - Ed

A liberally educated person meets new ideas with curiosity and fascination. An illiberally educated person meets new ideas with fear. - James B. Stockdale

I love TECHsperience because we get to help the people who are doing some of the most important and challenging work in the community. The people at TECHsperience are really talented and are always happy to help. Plus, I don't have to wear shoes!

My favorite technology right now is Google Apps because I've seen it's ability to transform organizations that use it correctly. I love how it simplifies communication through email, calendars, and shared documents. Plus, the ability to edit documents simultaneously with other users is awesome (and useful)!

Whenever I'm on my computer, I don't type "lol". I type "lqtm": "laugh quietly to myself". It's more honest. - Demetri Martin

I like working at TECHsperience because I feel like I am part of the solution, one of the "Good Guys"!

My favorite technology right now is folder redirection. That's a technique that allows us to redirect folders from the local computer to a server so that the data in the folder is available from multiple computers and so that it is backed up and safe. I believe the less data on the local computer the better. In my ideal world all the computers on a network are usable by all the users with no individual configuration.
