Security and Best Practices

Today's security standards are far ahead of where they were only a few years ago. Despite advances in the security field TECHsperience has found that many small companies and non-profits do not even know where to begin when it comes to technology and information security.

  • Do you have written Internet and Appropriate Use internal policies?
  • Are your email passwords being sent over a secure connection every time you log in?
  • Are your passwords in line with security standards to avoid today's typical hacking techniques? Have you changed them in the last 6 months?
  • Is your server making security logs? Are there any undesirable computers accessing your server? Is anyone checking regularly?
  • How many external people currently have access to your company's computer resources?
  • Do you know if your server is directly and publicly accessible?

At TECHsperience, we seek to help your company with answering questions like these and developing reasonable measures to protect your computer systems and data.
